Mututho hails Nakuru police sevice for their good work of serving its people

National Authority for the Campaign Against Drug and Alcohol Abuse (NACADA) Chairman, John Mututho has praised police officers in Nakuru for their efforts in the fight against sale of drugs to students and pupils. Addressing journalists in Nakuru on Monday after visiting Nakuru central police station following the arrest of drugs prime suspects over the weekend , Mututho sent out a strong warning to those engaging in the trafficking of the illegal drugs that their days are numbered and cautioned police officers against colluding with drug peddlers.

He observed that police are following crucial leads that could see the arrest of a prominent Nakuru businessman said to be involved in the trade and refused to divulge more information, saying that doing so would jeopardize ongoing investigations. Mututho said NACADA will soon be receiving specially trained dogs from Israel which will be used in the fight against drug trafficking and called on members of the public to collaborate with the police in order to apprehend those selling drugs to students.
