Tourism accounts for close to 1.5% of Kenya’s GDP and 9% of the country’s total formal employment. It is also one of the largest contributors to foreign exchange earnings. Nakuru County has extensive attraction sites which are key to the countries tourism sector. My Government aims to;

  • Rehabilitation of Lake Nakuru by managing the waters of the Mau which dilutes the PH of the lake.
  • Remodeling of the Subukia Shrine into an international shrine attracting pilgrims worldwide.
  • Developing of the hotel industry boosting tourism. Land will be availed by the county for new hotels and lodges to be built.
